Certifications: National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM), CPT, Krav Maga Instructor Level 1 (Atlas Krav Maga)

About: Alex’s training is all about making customized plans for clients to meet their goals, and having fun while doing them. He’s interested in not just training, but teaching clients how to empower themselves through exercise and fitness. A lifelong athlete, Alex started teaching Krav Maga classes while working as an engineer in RTP. Realizing the positive impact exercise through his classes had on his students’ mental and physical wellbeing, he transitioned to a career in exercise science. Alex recently graduated with a Master’s in Exercise Physiology from UNC Chapel Hill. While at UNC, Alex became a personal trainer, working with clients of various ages with various goals. He also led the American College of Sports Medicine Exercise is Medicine on Campus program, where he helped members of the campus community improve their health through exercise. Alex is passionate about health and empowerment through exercise and fitness.

 

When not training others, Alex trains for powerlifting and researches cardiovascular and cerebrovascular physiology. He also likes to go for a walk or a swim with his wife, Amy.
