June Client of the Month: Jeff Gilbert
1. Tell us about yourself! (Name, occupation, hobbies, fun facts, etc.)
I’m a masters student at the UNC Gillings School of Global Public Health, where I work on issues of food access and health equity. With the little free time grad school affords me, I like to play ultimate, hike, ski, and play board games.
2. When did you start training with Chapel Hill Training?
3. How has CHT helped you reach your fitness goals?
I’m thinking more holistically about how I work out, incorporating mobility and stability exercises alongside strength and cardio. Since I started working out at CHT, I’ve not only seen notable progress in strength and endurance but have been free of nagging injuries and little pains.
4. What is your favorite exercise?
5. What is your least favorite exercise?
Anything involving the sliders
6. What is your favorite post workout food?
Since I usually work out in the morning, it’s typically breakfast. I typically have eggs with lots of vegetables, often times alongside avocado toast since I am nothing if not a #millennial.
7.What is your favorite workout song?
“Here I Come” by The Roots
8.What quote would you write on the chalkboard?
If you can’t love yourself how in the hell you gonna love somebody else?
9.If you could torture your trainer with any one exercise what would it be?
They all seem pretty okay with the exercise thing, so I would probably just make Cody ask what music people want to listen to…to a silent crowd for an hour.
10.What is your favorite way to stay active outdoors in the warm weather?
Hiking! I’m an avid peak-bagger, meaning whatever area I’m in I try to climb as many of the region’s tallest peaks as I can.
