October Client of the Month: Chris Frauendientist

1. Tell us about yourself.

I was born and raised in Minnesota and have been back in Chapel Hill since November 2016. I am the Assistant to the President at Duke University. I’m a HUGETar Heel fan and college basketball is my life from November through April (watching games every night and all day on the weekend). Fun Fact: my casual closet only contains the best Nike, Jordan and Carolina gear … some say I have a problem (500+ t-shirts), but I guess it’s more of a collection.

2. When did you start training with Chapel Hill Training?

I started training with CHT in June 2018.

3. How has CHT helped you reach your fitness goals?

CHT has helped me rebuild my core strength as well as utilizing proper form throughout my workouts. I am also more aware of the way food choices navigate my overall wellness goals and have been working on ways to really stick to a plan and learn how to begin planning and cooking my own meals. Finally, understanding that a stretching routine will really help my body recover better and strengthen my flexibility.

4. What is your favorite exercise?

Crunches or Sit-Ups using the exercise stability ball … visions of having a flat, toned stomach again one day (soon).

5. What is your least favorite exercise?

Push-Ups / Push-Ups / Push-Ups.

6. What is your favorite post workout food?

Most of my workouts are first thing in the morning – it would be my go to breakfast (egg whites and morning star farms hot & spicy sausage patties).

7. What is your favorite workout song?

Don’t Matter to Me by Drake with Michael Jackson & SICKO MODE by Travis Scott featuring Drake, or anything from Whitney Houston!!

8. What quote would you write on the chalkboard?

“I always get up and I always fall right back down; I just want to be able to stay up for once!”

9. If you could torture your trainer with any one exercise what would it be?

Something awful / his worst nightmare.

10.What is your favorite way to stay active outdoors in the warm weather?

As a younger man, I used to run five miles a day and enjoyed the sun on my face. As I have aged, I have battled some injuries (hip and knee), but am hopeful that my core strength training and stability exercises will allow me to get back to three miles a day. I would also like to find some hiking experiences in the area on weekends.
